![]() The seller is just as responsible for it as the manufacturer when the issue is a major flaw / fault which cannot be successfully repaired. For me the unit has been a major disappointment reliability wise and from now on every time I use it I await it to fail, great work Delonghi ! Make sure you ask for a copy of the items that have been repaired or replaced, if they continue to fail regardless of the factory warranty go back to where you bought it citing that it is not fit for purpose under Aust consumer law. I suggest you don't buy a Delonghi for reliability based on the techs comments which suggested to me that Delonghi want you to be their tester. That would be nice except that replacing the internal valves (apparently the originals were too small and could be affected by debris when descaling which caused the pressure build up issue) has created a new issue as there appears to be too much steam allowed to clean the milk canister thus it sucks milk through rendering the cleaning cycle useless. ![]() I was advised that the milk canister was also replaced as apparently you can clean it too much using the clean button on the machine ? The tech recommended to stop before the stated time (indicated on the control panel) to prevent any future issues. I don't blame the tech however his slightly condescending attitude didn't help when stating it was a newer type of unit and if I wanted a unit tested to work as expected I should expect to pay upwards of 5K, if I knew it would last like my Saeco did I would ! I took it to the suggested repairer who took 5 weeks to sort it out, their tech even having to run the problem by Delonghi when he travelled interstate for training as he didn't know what was causing the pressure issue. The faults included a constant need to empty the circuit and that the grind was too fine, given it hadn't even tried to pour water through it I don't know what sensor triggered this? ! Did Delonghi care about the potential for steam burns and the other damages this caused ? of course not ! I suggest if you have children and this happens don't let them near th. ![]() It became so bad it blew the milk canister off of the machine onto the floor. Had it less than a year when the unit began to build up pressure and the machine refused to produce a coffee.
